“I wondered, where is this coming from? And got in my mind that if restaurants were making food less flavorful then there was a population that was not being served – a population of people who like things seasoned. Make sense?” asks Davis, rhetorically. He already knows it does.

The line that wrapped around the block almost twice on the first Saturday of October – the official celebration day of The Breakfast Klub’s 10th year of gangbuster business – was answer enough. But then on the very next day Davis got a yet another resounding yes to his hearty breakfasts, the menu stars being wings and waffles and catfish and grits, when The Breakfast Klub was awarded the Favorite Breakfast honor by My Table magazine via its annual Houston Culinary Awards.
